Goodyear launches new ruggedized tires for a conditions wide range

Goodyear launches new KMAX S and KMAX D tires in 17.5 and 19.5-inch rims for a drive and steering axles for light commercial vehicles to meet increased customer demands for tire reliability and versatility, performance in all weather conditions and lower operating costs (cost per kilometre). The new tires’ design is adapted to the modern commercial vehicle transmissions characteristics, including trucks with hybrid and electric propulsion systems, as well as to the diesel engine specific traction characteristics. During the modernization, special attention was paid to increasing the resource, adhesion to the surface reliability, high directional stability and strength in commercial vehicles ultra-high mileage conditions involved in regional and urban transportation.

The new tires, based on proven KMAX technology, combined with a robust carcass, replace the Goodyear RHS II for the steering axle and the RHD II (+) for the drive axle. Compared to the RHS and RHD generation II, the new KMAX S and KMAX D have an advantages number aimed at reducing operating costs. They include a high resource and functional versatility in any conditions, as well as durability under severe operating conditions. The tires for the drive and steering axles fully comply with the current and in preparation requirements for winter tires. Low fuel consumption and reduced heat generation while driving are achieved thanks to the reduced rolling resistance.
